The Education and Culture Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in New Delhi is pleased to organize the Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) Class Scholarship Program as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural diplomacy and expand access to Indonesian language learning in India.
The program is conducted online, allowing participants from various regions across India to take part. All learning activities are fully funded by the Education and Culture Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi. Participants can therefore join the program free of charge, with no registration or tuition fees.
The BIPA classes are designed comprehensively to accommodate learners at different proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced speakers. The curriculum follows international standards for language learning and is delivered by professional instructors from Indonesia. The program consists of seven competency levels:
- BIPA 1 – Beginner
- BIPA 2 – Elementary
- BIPA 3 – Intermediate
- BIPA 4 – Upper Intermediate
- BIPA 5 – Advanced
- BIPA 6 – Expert
- BIPA 7 – Native-like
Through this program, participants are expected to improve their Indonesian language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Indonesian culture, society, and values. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi to strengthening educational and cultural cooperation between Indonesia and India and to fostering greater mutual understanding between the two countries.
